Your Situation
HSNNY is your helping hand. We assist people so they can continue to live and recover independently at home. Whether someone needs light housekeeping services or complex medical assistance to recover from a serious illness or injury, HSNNY employs nurses, therapists, and home care aides to carry out a plan that matches your needs.
Being a caretaker is a full-time job. Whether it’s managing your loved one’s medications, cooking them well-balanced meals, assisting them with getting around their house, or making sure that they are active throughout the day, we understand the amount of time and effort it takes to fulfill these duties. If your loved one is recovering from a hospital or rehab visit at home, they might require more assistance than you can provide.

My aide was an extremely caring woman who helped me very much. The nurse was wonderful, and answered any questions I had very clearly. She was very helpful and pleasant!

16 years ago when I applied for the PCA class at HSNNY, I never could have imagined where it would take me. At the time, I had very little work experience and didn’t really know anything about home care. During my time as an aide I decided to take the leap into nursing school, not knowing what the future of my career would look like but hoping that it would stay in home care as I grew to really love what I do. When I graduated nursing school I was given the opportunity to stay with HSNNY, I gladly accepted and couldn’t imagine doing anything else now. I’m beyond humbled to receive the employee of the year award and as I reflect on my time here at HSNNY, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunities I’ve been given and for my teammates that have helped me grow throughout my journey here.
